Step 1- Register as Vendor:
- Open the browser and visit www.homesteps.com.
- Click on the top-right ‘Menu’ option.
- Select the last option ‘Sign Up’.
- Skip the first section and come down to ‘Working with HomeSteps’ section. Click on the ‘Sign Up’ box beneath it.
- A registration form will appear.
- Choose the profile, you wish to involve in by marking under, ‘Select Type Vendor’.
- Enter the ‘Email Address’. Remember to enter the email address which you actively use.
- Create a strong password with a minimum of 8 characters.
- Re-enter the created Password.
- Under ‘Company Information’, enter the name of the company or organization under which you are going to represent as the vendor.
- Enter DBA Company Name (if any).
- Enter the ‘Address’ of your location.
- Enter the ‘City’ name.
- Enter ‘State name’.
- Select the ‘Country’ from the dropdown list.
- Fill up the relevant data of ‘Owner Contact Information’.
- Fill up the relevant ‘REO Contact Information’.
- Click on the ‘Continue’ button.
You are now successfully registered as a vendor. Check your Email ID. You will receive a confidential email with your SUPPLIER ID. Keep this for the next step.
Step 2 Supplier Community Registrations:
- Open the browser and visit www.homesteps.com
- Click on the top-right ‘Menu’ option.
- Select the last option ‘Sign Up’.
- Skip the first section and come down to the ‘Supplier Community’ section. Click on the ‘Sign Up’ box beneath it.
- A registration form will appear.
- Create a strong password with a minimum of 8 characters.
- Re-enter the created Password.
- Enter the First name.
- Enter the Last Name.
- Enter your Email Address.
- Type your Contact Number.
- Enter the name of your group, company or association.
- Select the ‘Vendor Type’ from the dropdown list.
- Type the ‘Supplier ID’ carefully.
- Enter the Address.
- Enter the City.
- Select the State, Country and ZIP Code respectively.
- Click on ‘Submit’.
Your account will be confirmed after setting up a security question. After confirming, your password for the supplier account will be confirmed. Along with it, you will get a ‘User ID’ in your email address. Now since this article is mainly written about the HomeConnect for a supplier, so you need to go to a separate portal to access your account.
Step 3- Log-in to HomeConnect Portal:
- Open the browser and visit www.homestepsconnect.com.
- Enter the ‘User ID’ and ‘Password’ that are confirmed to you via email.
- Click on ‘Login’.
- You are ready to use the account and avail; it benefits from anywhere and any device.
Account Mishap- retrieving Forgotten Password:
The problem may arise when you forget your password. Forgetting password may cause a great deal of inconvenience. You cannot access not a single feature at any cost. And if you keep trying with the wrong password several times, your account may get locked. So, if you forgot your password, keep yourself calm and just follow the steps to incur new password:
- Open the browser and visit www.homestepsconnect.com
- Click on the link, ‘Forgot your Password?’
- Enter your User ID.
- Enter your registered email address.
- Answer the given security question.
- Click on the ‘Submit’.
- You will receive the New Password in your email address.
- Come back to the log-n page and access using the new password. You are good to go!
Things to Remember:
- If the email address you provide while retrieving a password, does not match, your account will be permanently locked. You need to immediately contact the Help Desk in this case.
- In that case, if you have changed your email address, please contact the Help Desk to change your email address before retrieving the password.
