Access ACT Student Web Account :
ACT Test, the leading US admission test designed to assess what students learn in high school to determine academic readiness for college, allows the students register for ACT Student Web Services and create an Online Account to log in. With the ACT personal online account, the users can access the platforms of MyACT and ACT Profile to enter the ACT system.
How to Register & Create Your ACT Web Account
In order to get signed up for the preferred date and location for the ACT Test, at first, the students must complete the ACT Registration and set up their ACT Web Account. Both the students in the US including Puerto Rico and US Territories and outside the US can register for the Student Web Services. To initiate the procedure, you can follow the short guide given below.
To Create a US ACT Web Account
- Visit the ACT Student Services portal at www.actstudent.org
- Navigate to the left section of the page and click on “Create US Account” under ‘Will You Test in the US?”
- Select the correct options if you have registered for or taken the ACT before.
- Enter some of your personal and contact information such as Student’s First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, Date of Birth and Email Address.
- Note that if you select yes to “Have you registered for or taken the ACT before” you need to provide the same name that you used in that time.
- Check the box to provide your consent and acknowledgment in the ACT Privacy Policy
- Click the “Continue” button.
The first time users need to know that the name they enter in their ACT Web Account Creation form may appear on all their ACT documents including score reports. The registered first and last name also must match the required photo identification presented on the ACT test day.
Follow the prompts to create your login details, set up security questions and answers to protect your identity information and complete the account registration and creation process.
To Create a Non-US ACT Web Account
The students, who will test outside the United States like in Canada and overseas US military bases, need to click on the “Create Non-US Account” button located at the bottom left side of the ACT Student Services portal.
After that, you will be directed to the ACT Profile or MyACT Sign In page where you need to click on the “Create Account” link at the bottom and enter the following information.
- First Name
- Middle Name
- Last Name
- Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
- Email Address
Create a 4 numbers long Customer Service PIN following the requirements and recommendation for communicating with the ACT Customer Care while accessing or updating your personal information.
Create 8 or more characters long password that must include upper case alphabets, lower case alphabets, numbers, and symbols.
How to Log In ACT Student Online Account
Once the ACT Student Services Registration is done and you have successfully created your Online ACT Account, you can log in to it and gain access to ACT system. For that, you can
- Go to ACT Web Account portal, www.actstudent.org
- Enter your ACT Student Web Account User ID and Password in their respective fields
- Click on the “Sign In” button
How to Recover ACT Web Account Login Information
The students who have forgotten their ACT Online Account Login Credentials can recover them with the tools providing on the login page. To retrieve the User ID, click the link “Forgot User ID” beside the field dedicated to enter that information and submit the following details that have on your ACT Profile.
- Student’s First Name
- Student’s Last Name
- Email Address on File
To reset your ACT Online Account Password, click the “Forgot password” link and enter your
- User ID
- And Email Address on File
The new password will be sent to you within 10 minutes but it may take longer. So, you should not send multiple requests. If you do that the password will be reset each time.
If you have no longer the access of the Email Address enrolled in the ACT or you changed it, you need to contact ACT and update your email before you start the recovery procedure. To update the Email address you need to provide the Student’s name, date of birth, street address, and ACT ID along with your authorization.

About ACT Test
The ACT Test is a standardized test used for college admission in the United States. The ACT stands for ‘American College Testing’. The test basically consists of four subjects: English, Math, Social Studies and Natural Sciences. Everett Franklin Lindquist, a professor of education at the University of Iowa, is the creator of the ACT Test. He first introduced this test in November 1959 as a competitor to SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test). Currently, it is administered by ACT, a non-profit organization of the same name.
